October 24, 2009 Pierre Singfield has come a long way.Singfield played on an 0-10 team at Pima Community College as a sophomore and then worked construction to help make ends meet during his first summer at Arizona State. Then something remarkable happened. Singfield earned a starting nod in his first career game as a Sun Devil, and equally as important, a football scholarship. Now in his second season in Tempe, Singfield is a key member of an Arizona State defense that ranks first in the Pac-10 in numerous statistical categories.
